Program Descriptions

 

Jeet Kune Do/ Kali, ages 18 and up- This is a weekly class that meets on Mon-Wed-Fri, The focus of this program is the functional use of martial arts in a “Street Fight” environment.  That means using your hands & feet, a weapon or just your brains to survive an encounter.  Adult classes are one hour and forty-five minutes long and consist of a variety of training methods including but not limited to: Partner drills, focus mitts, heavy hags, weapon drills, ground fighting & sparring.  This is the program that we package to our Adults, Teens & Advanced Youth.  Class times and frequency vary depending on age group.  The other age groups (6-8, 9-12 year olds) are taught in a slightly less aggressive manner, but are still held to our high standards.

 

Combat Fitness KBX  ages 18 and up- The ultimate workout that includes core strengthening, body weight, kettle bells & kickboxing.  Whether you want to get into shape, or you are in shape and want to get into the sickest shape of your life.  This is the workout for you.

 

Women’s Kick Boxing ages 14 and up- A female alternative to the Combat Fitness KBX Program. This program focuses more on the “Problem Areas” for women, while still giving you an intense workout.

 

Tai Chi – all ages welcome -An ancient Chinese martial art that dates back thousands of years.  Most well-known for its ability to help relieve the pain and inflammation of arthritis.  It also helps increase joint mobility, lowers blood pressure, calms the mind while relaxing the body.

 

Tactical Combat Athletics ages 15 and up - Designed for the “Professional Tactical & Combat Athletes” that include military, law enforcement and safety services.  These programs are specific for needs of each group.  We have tailored programs for the United States Marine Corps and the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academies from Washington State Community College and Zane State University.  These programs involve training in hand to hand combat and intense physical fitness. 

 

            Belly Dance, Yoga and specialty seminars are offered by outside instructors.
